This notice explains how ClaimMinder uses your information when you join the waitlist or use the free lost parcel claim checker on this website.
Who we are

The free checker
The lost parcel claim checker runs entirely in your web browser. The carrier, service and dates you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address.
- The date and time you signed up, and a record that you agreed to receive emails (including which version of the consent wording you saw).
- A one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, kept with your sign-up as a record of the request and to stop spam. We can't turn it back into your IP address.
We don't ask for your name, which carriers you use or any parcel details. Our web host Cloudflare may also process technical data such as IP addresses for security and to keep the site running. To stop spam we also keep a hashed version of your IP address in a separate rate-limit record for up to 24 hours.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details only to email you about ClaimMinder: launch news and early access to claim reminders. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. We keep the hashed IP address and sign-up time to show when consent was given and to protect the form from abuse (our legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the waitlist: our web host Cloudflare (which hosts this website and stores the waitlist in its European data centres) and, later, an email service provider. These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until ClaimMinder launches and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. If the project doesn't go ahead, we'll delete the list.
Unsubscribing
Every email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@sideledger.co.uk and we'll remove you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time, by contacting hello@sideledger.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
