How long do I have to claim? Free UK lost parcel claim checker

Lost parcel? Claim before the deadline, or lose the money for good

Miss a carrier's claim window and you can't get back the item's value, or the postage where the carrier refunds it. ClaimMinder shows the dates for Royal Mail, Parcelforce, Evri, DPD and InPost, and we're building email reminders that warn you before each carrier's deadline.

  • When you can claim. The first day each carrier accepts a lost-parcel claim.
  • The day it closes. Some windows are short: DPD gives 14 days from the day you sent the parcel. Evri's 28 days from booking is a hard limit for business senders.
  • A ready-made claim pack. The evidence your carrier asks for, gathered in one checklist (coming with reminders).

Standard cover worth claiming: Royal Mail 1st/2nd Class up to £20, Evri £20, DPD £50, InPost £50, Royal Mail Tracked and Parcelforce up to £150. Reminders are in early access and not live yet. The checker below works today.

Your dates stay in your browser. Nothing you enter here is sent to us.

Not legal advice. ClaimMinder gives general information from each carrier's published terms (checked 26 October 2026). Terms change and your contract may differ, for example if you used a business account, a marketplace label or a parcel broker. Always check the carrier's current terms and claim as early as you can.

Rules and sources

Where a carrier's pages don't say something, we show not stated instead of guessing. Working days use England & Wales bank holidays from GOV.UK.
